Worthington Hills Garden Club
Club History

The Worthington Hills Garden Club came into being on March 23, 1967 when a group of
eight ladies met with a common desire to encourage the beautification and improvement
of the new Worthington Hills neighborhood through gardening.  They sent out Invitations
to the young community and the response was overwhelming fifty-four attended the
first meeting!  Those who had been in garden clubs before offered their talents and
experience to the group.  Some were starting their first home gardens with all the trials and
tribulations it brings, but all were enthusiastic and eager to help.

Of the 90 founding members of the Worthington Hills Garden Club, eight are active in the
    club today.

Almost 40 years later, the Worthington Hills Garden Club is still committed to its founding
    principles:

*Encourage civic beautification and general improvement
    within the community
    *Stimulate gardening and artistic interests
    *Develop horticultural knowledge
*Stimulate interest in the preservation and conservation
of natural resources and the beautification of Ohio.
